so this is my helm,
the nasal while decent is just kinda boring and blends in to the helm as a whole.
i am looking to replace it with something a little nicer.
i have looked at raymonds, but all the ones he has are out of period or just wont look right on this helm.
does anyone know where i can get a decent nasal at a good price.
i have a bit of cash but not a truckload.
any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont cast, but I could fit a nice brass plate over the steel one and maby do some custom etching. PM if interested.

if you want someone else to make it there are many of us on here that can.
If you want to do it yourself, then run down to your local home depot or equivalent store and get a brass kick pannel for the bottom of a door (make sure to get a solid brass one not brass plated). Make a pattern off your current nasal and transfer it to the brass. Cut out the new nasal with tin snips then deburr the edges with a sander or file.
Now to make it all fancy. Take perm marker, model paint or some other sort of non-water-soluable paint and cover the piece in designs. Spray paint the back. Then toss it in a plastic container with some Feric Chloride from radio shack (circuit board etchant). After 1/2 - 2hrs dependant on temp pull it out rinse with water, then clean the paint off and you have a custom etched nasal that you did yourself.

well after throwing a few lines in the watter,
it seems i may be on my own on this.
so thanks for the advice on how to make my own i will be hopping over to home depot later today and see what i can do.
if it turns out decent ill post some pics.
