Rent coming due sale 3 lamellar kits

Post by Torvaldr »

Most of this stuff I had already listed and although some folks said they wanted it, they seem to have changed their minds and not contacted me. So I am putting it back out. Gotta pay the rent.

I have three lamellar shirt kits immediately available. One in green, one in dark brown, and one half and half red and blue. I can easily make the half and half kit one full color.

Each kit comes with 300 pre-drilled lames made from 8 to 9 ounce vegetable tan leather and stiffened in my wax mix of carnauba and bees wax so they will not soften in sunlight.
leather laces
lacing needle
buckles
rivits
strapping leather

Instructions are on my website and you can contact me for further help as needed. each kit is $250.00

Next up are a set of steel knee cops. I dinged them up a bit playing with rolling the edges. asking $30

Hardened leather left handed demi with an extended thumb. I used this for a center grip shield. It was an experiment with an old pattern demi. Still fully functional and made from 13 to 15 ounce veg tan hardened in my multi stage process. Asking $20.00

Hardened leather plates for a brig. These are made form 13 to 15 ounce veg tan leather and hardened in my multi-stage process. There are 59 of them, approx 3 X 6 inches. They may need a little trimming and edging. Asking $80.00 which is really nothing more than leather cost

Costume grade vambrace and elbows. These were made for a ren faire ages ago. They are not combat legal for the SCA though the vambrace will work for an archery arm guard. Green and tooled with a scale pattern. They look really cool. Asking $15.00

Hey buddy! hows it going? Would the demi fit my big hands? If so it looks like the mate to my right demi! If you think it would fit me ill take it.

Hi guy, I think it should fit you. If I am remembering right it should be the same size as the one you got from me. If not we'll work it out.

I can attest to the quality of Torvaldr's work. I had a vest made from his plates that was great. I sold it because of the whole leather lamellar not documentable thing. If had had the spare cash I'd get another set for war armour. It was much more comfy than the AL lamellar I replaced it with.

demi review

Post by Conradbard »

I can attest fully to the demi as the experimental model was originally made for me, but was too big. I fight center held shield and have used Torvald's demi now for about four years. His hardening technique has never wavered and I have traveled extensively with his armor in my bag. No matter the humidity or punishment, the armored thumb has remained solid. I recently fought in th Western Crown lists and his experimental piece passed the Marshall's test with flying colors. Whomever buys this or any other piece from Torvald will be receiving top quality gear.
