. He took my helm that Sir Shaltar gave me (Metal with bar grills) and replaced the bar grills with a perf-plate face mask. He also did some decorative brass work pro-bono and it looks awesome.
Time from it arriving to finish was only 2 weeks and it arrived back at my house promptly

If you wanna do cut and thrust I recommend he install your helm faceplate. You might need a bevor though to make it legal..so request that the face plate be curved in on the bottom. I've got a bevor so its okay for me. I'd also recommend asking for some kind of device to be installed that holds the face plate down (Mine swings up which is sweet). I just use string but if I knew in advance would have bought something to hold it down.
But gotta say best part about the helm is that..for 80$ I now have a helm that can do Heavy Combat, Rapier and Cut & Thrust. Plus I have maximum visibility (its better then bar grills for me) and perfect breathing.
Perf plate is awesome.
