Used 14th Century Spring Steel Legs by Alan Bauldree [SOLD]
I am currently the proud owner for Alan Bauldry's first pair or spring steel legs, they have great lines and are totally the wrong look for the 13th century Norman portrayal I am going for.
These legs, in my opinion, do not have all the great advantages of spring steel as they are not that light and have taken some lumps through the years. The pictures I have on my computer were taken at Coronation in April 05 if memory serves, weeks after I got them, I will post pictures of them in current condition tomorrow when I can get them out in the daylight and take photos along with measurements and will try to weigh them.
To give you an idea of size I am 6'4" and 240 (was probably 260 or 270 in the attached images). They are a little shallow as with a thick knee pad they BARELY cover the inside point on the knee, though I've never had an issue with any marshal.
I will start the auction on these at $100 and will include shipping in the US, I will ship outside the US and we'll figure out shipping depending on how horrible it ends up being (foreign buyers responsible for any duties, taxes, additional fees to get it to you). Auction will end Tuesday night at 6 pm EST. I will accept check (will wait for it to clear before shipping), money order or paypal if you're willing to pay the 3% fees they're going to whack me.
Mad Matt greeves not included.
Any questions please let me know.
Will

Just a quick note, I will clean them up and replace the two broken straps before I take pictures, but if at that time any of the bidders wish to back out I perfectly understand. They are still in good shape other than a little surface rust and needing straps, but no harm no foul if the high bidder sees the pictures tomorrow and bows out.

Okay, got photos this morning. I put them all up on Flickr here http://tinyurl.com/l3lqsh I'm including the pictures in the thread too but wanted to link them too just in case something screwy happens.
I weighed them and on my $9 Walmart scale they come in just under 10 lbs. One thing I forgot to mention originally if you look at the center line on the right leg it's crooked on the demi, because Alan used slotted rivet wholes on the demi they move great and this has never effected the articulation, just aesthetic.
Okay, here are the pics, any questions please let me know.

and one last image. As always any questions please let me know. Someone with knowledge or polishing could clean these up quickly, add some period buckles and have a beautiful set of 14th century legs.
I would personally recommend replacing all the leather but that of course is the buyers decision, they are fully functional but most of the leather is several years old. I wore these with a Revival pourpoint.
