I am looking for some good sources for some names. Working on my SCA persona. I chose a name out of the Nordiskt runnamnslexikon, but I am thinking it might be a bit older than the period I am now focusing on. I found some names at Sveriges Medeltida Personnamn over at http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/scandinavian.shtml, but it is in not the whole alphabet and my Swedish is kinda nonexisting. google searches just seem to come up with baby names, and I already have a name for my baby. So any thoughts would be great.
Thanks

I did a small search on google and found this page http://www.sofi.se/servlet/GetDoc?meta_id=1801 which is the same page you found.
It is the Institute for language and memoria (my translation) at the university of Uppsala. They have a research project about swedish mediveal names called Svenska medeltida personnamn or SMP and it contains names from about 1100-1500 apparently they have not published more than the A to Holmger, which limits you choice a bit but it is probarbly the most accurate source of names you can find.
I do not know of any other good sites or publications for swedish mediveal names. I do belive that if you find a name from northern germany, denmark or norway you will most likely find the same name in sweden.
One suggestion could be to look at those sources and then send an email to above mentioned institute and see if they can help you with information on the name you are looking for. They have a lot of material close to 1 million index cards.
