I found this photo awhile ago when doing some persona research online. Looking for First Crusader images. Unfortunately, I did not bookmark the page. After not finding anything near as good, realized that is was also not in my browser cache.
It is a free standing statue along a cave wall in a Southern German cave used as a waypoint for pilgrims to Jerusalem. The statue is a knight in maile, etc., looks to be in the motion of turning in place as the bottom of his tunic and mail are flared out abit.
I've been trying to find it for awhile now. Just can't remember the search terms I used. I suppose the page could be gone. Might have been a .edu site. In recent searching, I keep coming across references to the "Templar Trail" which it could be a part of. A pilgrimage trail from France to Jerusalem.
