Does anyone have a link to any studies that include pictures and analysis of various medieval weapons (mostly european but asian as well), basically sword, and their effectiveness in cutting, stabbing and slashing? I'm looking for a comparison for various sword types and how well they do vs the straw bundles, heavy gambison, steel plate, chain mail, etc.
I saw one awhile back that even included the poleaxe (which was devistating) and a Katana that showed how well it cut but how less it performed vs the others in stabbing effect. I loved the difference in the various swords that truly showed how well they did against various types of armors.
Anything at all as comprehensive as this that someone could point me to?
Thanks!
