Search fu is weak - byzantine source material

On page 41 of Osprey's Byzantine Infantryman, Warrior series, they have an illustration from a ceramic plate of a hero wielding a curved sword and a dagger (or two swords) to slay a beast.

Though it says the image was from a ceramic plate, it also says the image was drawn by David Irwin. So it is secondary or tertiary documentation at the best.

Does anyone have a link to the original source material? Try as I might I can't find it

For those that don't have that book, could you post a pic? I'm pretty good at web searches, but need to know what I am looking for.
