My comments were limited to the the primary scope of this forum: arms, armour, and warfare. If a sociology student wants to write a paper on the homoerotic undertones in the Iliad then I say "knock yourself out but leave out any commentary on the martial aspects of the book until you learn something about hoplology and military history."
