Just looking for some pictures and Patterns of Spanish Casaque’s, I know this type of garb is boarder line for SCA but I like it a lot, I have one picture pattern but some more would be good.
Thank you

Can you give us an approximate date? The English military were wearing such garments during the late 1500's as national livery. That would certainly fall within the SCA timespan.

You might try Museum Replicas, they have just added something that looks like what the Cardinals gaurd wears.

"The Cut of Nen's Clothes" by Norah Waugh
has to casque patterns, one from 1630 and one from 1654, I'm making 1630's version right now, 'cause I've always hated cloaks. Be prepared for LOTS! of buttons.

Janet Arnold's "The Patterns of Fashion: 1550-1660" is an excellent resource. (I think that is the right title.)

"The Cut of Nen's Clothes" by Norah WaughI'd just like to point out that it is "Men's Clothes", not "Nen's"

Makes searching for the book name easier, if anyone does.

Just checking... the casaque is the red buttoned cloak the Depardeu wore as Cyrano?
