Frogmouths on Foot?

Hello folks!

I know I've seen the images from manuscripts floating around here, and decided it might be interesting to compile what evidence there is depicting frogmouth helms being used by men-at-arms fighting on foot. Sadly, I'm having no luck in my searches. Most of these images are past my area of expertise and I have failed to find even one now that I'm looking for them! :(

Additionally, anyone with experience would be welcome to chime in about how realistic this is or is not, based on the real visibility offered in these helms. Cheers!

Augustine Boer Bront (hi Gustovic!) has an album dedicated to this on Facebook. Give me a sec to get the link...

Aha, he shared it to the "XIV century European Armour" group.

Thanks, Gustovic! I recall glancing at your thread when it was fresh and did not pay much attention because the subject wasn't on my mind. Now I'm very glad to see it again. Cheers!
