I used to have an image saved on my C drive I though I grabbed from your page, it was from the Golden Psalter of St. Gallen, and depicted Frankish warriors wearing very round spangenhelms with nasals. I lost the pic, and I can't find anything on your site from the GP except the proto-morions on the cavalrymen. Do you know what pic I'm referring to? I might be mistaken about it being on your site, do you know where online I may have seen this? Thanks in advance,

Brodir, I'm away from home for a few days, so can't access my library.I don't believe this is from my website, but I might have an image of it somewhere anyway. Give me a few days and I'll see what I can ffind. There's a holy water stoup (bucket) that has something similar on it, for exampke.
In the meantime, can you give me a fuller description of what's in the picture? It'll help me find it if I have it.

I honestly can't remember, the last time I even looked at it was when you and I were discussing on More Perfectly Period the date when helmets turned conical, that was at least six months ago. I think it was a depiction of two warriors, unarmoured besides their helmets.
Someone on the Archive is making me a spangenhelm, and I want to get the shape right for Jutland c. 800. I'm sure what I'm looking for is in the GP, but I by no means know the full extent of Carolingian sources. No rush, but I would appreciate your help.
