What is the date and location for these? Got1.jpg is especially interesting, it looks like one of the Valsgarde helms, but the construction is much simpler, making me think it may be later.

I can't wait to see the finished page. Did you see the two spangenhelm pics I posted on your 'Groningren' thread?

--they are vendel helmets found on the island of Gotland, proves a couple of things

a) trade between the Svear and Gotland
b) that the Valsgarde/Vendel helms were just helms of kingly types (well it suggests this anyway)

as for the last one, i am still hunting a dating for it

still i am looking forward to jumping into this project after the first of the year (at this point i only have two MAJOR projects to deal with, woohoo!)
