I went last Sunday. The Davinci exhibit had a two hour line so we skipped it. However the Mongol exhibit was still there and it was quite good. We made the obligatory visit to the armour areas and checked out the special exhibit of acquisitions of armour since a particular date (I forgot the date).

The special exhibit of helmets from the reserve collection is gone. That is a crime, they should be on permanent display.

The book store was as usual, overpriced, but fun. What made me laugh was the number of books from the Chivalry Bookshelf. The Tobler and a number of others were there. The truly funny part was that Brian Price's book on SCA tournaments was being sold there. At the Met. Too weird. I wonder how many people buy it thinking it is about historical tournaments and not how to run a modern SCA tournament. I can just see a kid taking it to school and going on and on about 'bearpit' tournaments.
