Battle of Patay,18 June 1429 What would a French knight wear

All the people out there are doing a great job of trying to narrow down their personas and who they want to portray. I figure I might as well try it
. My family is from the border area of the Picardie/Artois provinces. I would like to stay in that area if I could and stay around 1425 to 1429 as a French knight. Could someone point me to a site or let me know what a typical knight would have been wearing? Thanks.

Two generations too early I'm afraid. More likely harnois blanc with a great bascinet with a globose visor, for 3 decades into the 15th century. Remember, this is almost a generation after Agincourt, so what was old then is antiquated by 1429 (the fellow in the bascinet with nasal is right out) , and what was cutting edge in 1415 was more commonplace. Early sallets would not be out of the question.
Possibly the figure on the left (the armour proper is better - perhaps even a little too advanced in form, it definitely does not go with the bascinet), save instead of an aventail it ought be a great bascinet, but houndskulls were passe by then.

Have a look at

http://www.gothiceye.com/pictures.asp?c ... &offset=90 - these are English rather than French, and some of the styles may be different, but the level of armour technology would be very much the same, and there
was a lot of communication between the two countries at the time - after all, this was still during the Hundred Years War, and England had extensive territories in France at the time.
Equally, both countries imported armour from such places as Milan, which were recognised as centres of excellence.
