14th C art ideas wanted
I have a drum and want to add a design to the face of it to cover the brand label, I could pull something out of a heraldry book but thought ppl here might have some better suggestions for designs covering it.
Hi Garth, at this stage I just want to cover up the brand logo. I dont even know if it was historic to decorate drums this way. If anything English or French art of the 14th century. The drum I have doesnt exactly look like the drums I have seen used. It looks like a bodhrun (sp?). Anyway any suggestions welcome.

Have a look at http://www.knighthospitaller.com/Manuscripts/index.htm and http://image.ox.ac.uk/show?collection=b ... =msbodl264 for some C14 decorative designs (careful - the second one contains very large pictures).
The Book of Kells dates to the 7th or 8th century AD, so it wouldn't fit with a 14th century use.

It's not really armour if you haven't bled on it.
