I've got Steve of Forth Castle's rivetted mail kit. Would swords, arrows, glaives, etc... vs mail be an acceptable Arts and Sciences test?
How would I do it?
I know I can get a leg of lamb, thaw it, wrap it in saran wrap a couple of times, wrap it in 1 inch thick cloth padding, cover it with the rivetted mail, and then hang it from a tree and let the various fighters get their close to real and SCA weapons and smack away at it.
Does that sound like it might work, or am I just finding a good way to ruin a good leg of lamb?
