Yeah, even though the Historical Stud & Buckle Company is still on hiatus, I am working on a couple of "pet" projects that will eventually become products.
The first is certainly "armour" oriented, but really late in period! It can be seen in the upper right of the photo and is a replica of a French WWI helmet badge/insignia for the Chasseurs. Since these are really rare and my WWI unit needs a dozen or so, I decided to make some. I have an original helmet with badge at hand but it was not possible to get a good casting off it so I sculpted the badge from scratch. As you see it here it is fresh from the foundry and has not been polished.
The other item is my impression of an Anglo/Saxon winningas hook. It will serve multiple duty in various formats (see photoshop variants on the bottom row). Although it is not clear from the photo, the bottom appendage is a hook that curls under. In the formate of lower left photo, it will be a hook for the winningas---the loops above the head furnishing attachment sew-on points. The middle lower photo would be with the loops removed and would serve as a belt mount with a metal ring trapped in the hook below---to be mounted vertically (by 2 stout prongs on the back, not visible in photo). The lower right photo represents the item as a simple decorative belt plate, to be mounted (via back prongs) either horizontal ---or--- vertical.
At this point, the item is rough from the foundry and needs to be polished and cleaned up a little. In its production casting, I will ask the foundry to antique it, giving the incised lines a black patina while the raised portions will be shiny bronze.

Thanks for the kind words. The size of the face plate with hook is 2" x 0.875". I have no idea of what it will sell for yet. That depends on the production cost.
The hunting horn badge is a special situation, since I will be selling them to my unit at cost. They will be something like 10-15 bucks postpaid.
