Millia Davenport scan needed

Post by Ernst »

For anyone who may have a copy of Milia Davenport's "The Book of Costume", please view the "Morion" thread. I realize that many "clothing type" people might have this text (if you have the original two-volume, the photographs will hopefully be clearer than in my single-volume re-print). Since you may not have read an "armor type" thread, I appeal to you here.

Jason would greatly appreciate a scan of fig. 1162 (p.434 in the one-volume edition). Any comments regarding dating based on clothing would also be appreciated.

The book says it is from 1540, and that the date is on the gun barrel.

I'm looking at a single book copy as well.
My 10yo daughter says I'm pretty!

Dag-nabbit, I have that image in the 2-volume set and my scanner isn't working. I'm very sorry. I will attempt to enlist Husbert in the fixing of my scanner today. Tired of not having its use...
