Estrellawar.org seems to be down atm, but SCAToday.net has something on it:

February, and Arizona. Generally thought of as the opposite end of the year and of the country from Pennsic. As yet, it's a smaller affair, but it's still one of the bigger wars and it's been chugging along nicely for twenty-three years now.

Consulting the Kingdom of Atenveldt's website (Pennsic is located at the traditional border between the East and the Middle, btw) tells us Estrella begins on February 13.

I will have my forge set up at the Period Demo Center; sigh not all period equipment---yet.

Stop by and say Hi I should get there on Tuesday and fire up Wednesday---bring stock if you have a project you want to work on. I have a couple of billets to weld up and a pot to work on...

Interestingly Styrbjorn (who has been in the period demo area more years than I can remember) and I where not included in the period area this year. It seems they “ran out of roomâ€

OK, you can add me to your "pressure list". I'll suggest it with next month's A&S report as well.

I used to have a nice renaissance double lunged bellows to go with my stake anvil but I had to leave it behind when I moved from OH to NM. I guess I need to make an earlier styled paired single bellows---I already have two seperate smaller single bellows but they require an apprentice to do much forging with...

If we stick with this new site for a while we can hopefully get things worked out more suitably. Who knows maybe I can do enough trades to get the rest of my kit up to snuff...

I want to make a set of bellows. After watching Iron smelting at the Ribe viking center, I want to try it.

We've smelted using small single action bellows at Pennsic---pre Y1K stuff.

It was a hoot but I remember having sparks from the furnace burn my back while pumping the bellows like a loony...Also your check valve must be very good or you can "inhale" small coals that quite like the high air flow inside the bellows....
