Same as before. Looking for a recipe for a drink known as "Lambs-Wool"
I know it is made with Ale and Roasted Apples.

Someone responded that they thought that the recipe can be found in George Washington's expense reports.

Came across it just recently in a reference; there is a quickie version that can be done from easily obtainable modern ingredients.
Take a heavy dark (but not bitter) ale (I like Belhaven's) and some "natural" no-sugar-added applesauce. Add the applesauce to the ale (yes, that is how they do it) until a "lambswool" texture is reached.
I haven't yet tried it with spices, but some have suggested mulling spices or just a dash of cinnamon.
Let us know how it turns out, please.
Good luck

That was me - a specific book "George Washington's Expense Accounts". There is a number of punch recipes in it.

I know it is a little older than that because there is a reference on the calender page from 1633. But I will look into the GW Expense Accounts for it.
Thanks!
