About what decade of the 14thC do we see splinted limbs starting to happen in the HRE? WHen did it become its most common?
Any evidence is good, it doesn't have to be imagery. It can be in rolls, will, etc, if it's definitely the type we call splinted.
Thanks,
CHristopher
