Iron Dwarf,

It might be. What is your target market, Public or participants?

There are a fair few public through over the course of the event, and some 100+ participants at the event.

Drop me an email, and I can give you all the information you will need.

Flyglobespan have failed. There do not appear to be any other scheduled flights available from the lower 48 direct to Cardiff.
Remember that Britain is not large, and that London, Bristol, and Birmingham are all within 3 hours.

I was about to say -- in 2007 I drove out from London. It was an easy drive, though I'm a little inured to travel since I moved FROM the UK to NM. :) I wouldn't worry about flying to Cardiff.

Not sure how useful it would be to anyone but I live roughly halfway between London and Cardiff in Basingstoke and can offer crash space.

Finally my pictures from Raglan Fair 2009 are up

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lord_edric ... 694157449/

I do also have a few that I took at Hampton Court

Not sure if I can make Raglan this year since it is overlapping with mediveal week in Wisby.

This year will be my first trip to Rhaglan, and my first major event with the SCA. Unfortunately, it'll also be my last event with my shire for three years while I attend university

On the plus side, my chosen university is in Wales, so Rhaglan will be easy to attend, and I hope to find a new shire in Mynydd Gwyn, should they be so kind as to take me :D

This will be my first event of any sort of medieval interest whilst being a new resident of Drachenwald. I look forward to such an enigmatic crowd and magical event.

I think I shall depart via ferry and then drive onward. I cannot wait and not much time to make new clothing.

The hope is to go to Lampeter. I've sent a couple of emails, but got no reply, I guess they're old addresses. If possible, I'd like to see if there are any SCAdians at the university there, who might want to do a travel rota to save on cash.

Of course, this all depends on results

Back on the Rhaglan track, I'm hoping to have lots of shiny new armour by the time I go

Life has been quite the whirlwind so I am awaiting that moment until I am settled upon The Emerald Isle.

Any suggested for armourers on our side of the world? I need to update my gear for the event as well.

It was a good battle ;)

A bit tricky since it was a few meters down to the moat, which yes has water in it. So no pushing over the sides.

Since i just got here (Ramstein AB) and my harness & kit have not arrived yet, this will definatly be on the short list of places to go next year.
*fingers crossed*

Curses, no money to go this year.
Maybe next.
As Duncan Forbes put it so well, I was made redundant.
Looks like a splendid time was had by all.

Oh to play in a real castle.

On the plus side, it does give me that much more time to get my kit into Raglan Fair worth shape.

Did you pick the same spot to camp as last year Robert?

And tell Thomas that I really like the looks of his armour. Do you have any more pictures of it?

Hi Edricus,

We were in the same spot. I'm told we were being referred to as "the Posh Camp" :)

Tom has a bunch of photos on his facebook page,
