On Sunday afternoon, about 12-1/2 miles, about 20 minutes.

Unless we go to the one in Tir-y-Don which is farther from our home but about 10 miles/15 minutes from our church, which is over on that side.

Tuesday evening fighting practices are literally in my back yard.

Unless I go up to Caer Mear for a regional, which is about 100 miles/2 hours. I usually go straight from work. Bit of a trek on a weeknight, which is why I only do it about once a month or so.

Anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. It all depends on if I'm going to my group practice, or driving somwhere like Detroit or maybe Ft. Wayne.

It take me 1 hour to drive there when I can go.

Sunday: 50 mins
Thursday: 15 minutes (I started one on my shire)
Tuesday pell practice: 1 hour 15 minutes (haven't been able to in a few months)

I'm surprised at how many people drive a while to make practice.

15 minutes to the local Baronial practice. If I want to hit any of the Phoenix practices, 90+ minutes.

Yesterday was my first practice with the Shielded Harbor guys in Sasebo. Took 2.5 hours to get there on my motorcycle. I could probably save a half hour next time just knowing the way.

...Must make a kit that fits on my bike.

Every Monday I drive 1 hour into Toronto, more specifically Pickering for a practice that runs until 10PM. Due to recent road paving at night it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get home though.

Every Thursday I drive 1 1/2 hours into Markham which is on the North side of Toronto. That practice goes until Berus kicks us out. Usually around 10:30 or 11PM.

Technically my closest practice is 45 minutes away but is on Sundays and since I travel extensively for SCA events I seem to not be home on Sundays very often, and it is also the smallest practice of the three.

About 6-8 times a year I drive down to Detroit for the Roaring Waste practice. With the border crossing it is about a 6 hour drive and that practice ends around 5 or 6 PM (sometimes I have stayed until 7PM) depending on when visitors decide they have had enough (Thanks Brannos). The 6 hour drive home and the 6 AM wake up call the next morning is BRUTAL!

Cheers,

Nigel

35 minutes by toll road on wed night followed by group dinner makes for a late night.
Its a battle not a tournie, there's a difference.

Monday nights: 1 hour each way. Because I gotta get up early for work, I rideshare, buy dinner for the driver afterwards, and sleep on the way home. That makes it workable most weeks.

Summer Sunday practice- At North Valleys Park: 10 mi.

SCA Equestrian Practice- Mom's Place: 42 mi.

Winter Sunday Practice- Our Marshal is doing Ski Patrol, it switches to Van Meter Park: 2 mi.

If I feel like a mid-week practice: Carmichael Park in Sacramento @7pm: 140 miles or so.
