We should Encourage this Trading thing
More and more im seeing trades happen and it totaly Rocks!
Usualy you can save money
You get something kickass that you would have paid for anyways.
Its period in every time period.
Also gets your stuff out there to be seen.
So if your low in cash and need something, but you have some materials..
And basicly its just fun.
That and cool to have more stuff made from other craftsmen.
At least I think so.

This is a shirt lamellar for a 5 foot to 5'8" possibly. They are made of aluminum and the linning is latigo that has been riveted. Shoulders are 18 gauge stainless with lion accents...
Anyone interested in a trade??

I couldn’t agree more. I am always up for trades for banners, gonfalons and such! As a matter of fact I am in the market to upgrade my kit to some hidden armor and 16th century gear. Let me know if anyone’s interested in a trade of some sort.

I've got an SCA helm made by Jackie that's not getting used (a steppe type with brim) that I'll swap for a decent pocketknife or something else useful -- and if you're local, I've got a joiner and a powerwasher that are in good shape but have to leave my garage, for which I'd take a VERY light trade in order to get it gone while enabling somebody else to have a nice Christmas.

What is the value about, so if we wanted to trade we would know what to shoot for? Do yo have any extra plates? I'm 5'11, is this way out of possibilty fro me?

I paid for the plates about $250, the leather say $40, the stainless for the shoulders I had some scrap laying around so say little under $300?? I have about 26 extra plates and to change the size would mean removing the rivets form the leather linning...

Rasper, I will see if I have anything that fits the bill for that shield, any chance you might want some hockey gear? I have once-worn elbows and girdle, they just were too hot for me. I have other stuff as well, but that could be ready for immediate departure. I need some shields for putting my arms on anyway, and for some display/art/A&S ideas I have.
Sextus, I don't have anything in that ballpark right now, but I will keep it in mind!

I'd love to trade
barter is great. I've done it on here a few times
as far as non SCA stuff
i'd trade for mil surp and mundane camping stuff, ammo, mags, solid flashlights, wool socks ect ect. I'd even trade for guns, but it would have to be an FTF transfer to be legal. Snow shoes, snow boots,
I'd also barter for canned good, other shipabel food items.
Tools .
Clothes and shoes for a 6 year old boy and a 1 year old girl.
I got a bunch of clothes for Rory from folks on the archive. Many of them are now clothing other peoples children as she outgrows them.
I'd also trade for WWII stuff
and 14thcentury LH level clothes.
I'm good on most armour, edged stuff and SCA weapons. But i'd entertain trades of high end stuff. Albions, nice helmets and such.
You know
The stuff i wanna buy with the money anyway
Right this minute? i need $$ though.
Bills due soon.

I have a bunch (35 is they are all still in the box,) fiberglass combat archery (SCA) arrows, with the OLD style baldar blunts mounted on them.. all they _should _ (unless rules have changed more, I haven't followed them in a while,) need to be shooting legal is putting an APD on each of them.
I'd consider trading for some rattan poles, something armor-wise, SCA fighting type stuff.

Isabella, early or late 14th? I think Gaston made you some early 14th cops...you want some tooled leather shinbalds, vambraces or rerbraces to go with those? I could use a banner for my 14th cent. portrayal or a silk dragon windsock for my 6th century kit.
Wants:
windsock banner
14th cent. heraldic banner
riveted camail
long, leaf-bladed spearhead
2 wooden x-chairs with backs
line-art of a wolfhound's head in profile
Roman boots for SCA combat
Can Provide:
Curved birch plywood shields with linen/gesso facing and metal edging covered with rawhide. Your choice of shape up to 24"x48".
Tooled, dyed and hardened (glue and baking, no wax) leather armour.
Cotton-stuffed linen helm liners roughly 1" thick

What are you looking for in trade? I'm not too set up at the moment to do much creating, if a few weeks I will be. Otherwise I would be interested in just paying cash for 'em.
If your interested pm me. Thanks.
