Guys I know it sucks, I am out a couple hundred dollars myself from this "Sale"
But let's keep some perspective on the issue....
Otto did not defraud us, at least on purpose. He made a mistake. Got overextended and is unable, not unwilling, to fulfill his commitments. I am willing to bet Otto feels worse about this than anyone else here does or can possibly make him feel.
I still have a roof over my head and food on the table. Further I am not at risk for losing any of that. Sounds like Otto might be loosing the roof over his head. If he had the money available to give refunds he would not be in that situation.
Again I don't believe he ever had malicious intent here just poor business skills.
Do I hoe to get either a refund or armour, Hell yes. When I told my wife about Otto's issues and told her I might not see the armour we paid for we had a hell of a fight that night over the couple hundred dollars.
She is now of a mind that if I buy armour that armour needs to be shipped before any payment.... Good luck with that
So let's back off and give him some breathing space. I am still idealistic and naive enough to believe that Otto will get back on his feet and fulfill orders as possible.

Perhaps I'm more jaded than you Toshido, but I suggested this man to my squire to have work done. I'm not out a couple of hundred $$, he is on my suggestion which makes me liable. No one is really rolling in the $ these days but Otto asked for help and replied to every email when he was trying to drum up cash.
Now, he replies to zero emails. That's not just bad business, that's avoiding your obligations. Period. No one here has asked for anything from Otto except a list of where they stand on his completion/progress list. In fact, I think everyone on this list has been more than gracious and understanding of Otto's situation.
Everyone, except Otto.
So, forgive me if I'm a bit put out with Otto at the moment. I understand his situation and it really sucks but he's the one who took money in good faith and now, for appearance sake only at this point, he's doing his best to avoid his obligations. That may not be reality but that's what I am seeing in his lack of replies to me, my squire and the majority of the people he's taken money from.
Until he does something to rectify his reputation he's just the latest to be added to the ever growing list of armorers to avoid like the plague.
And before you hit the 'reply' button, yes I am being harsh. I am well aware of it and it is intentional. No, I don't know whats going on in Otto's life nor do I want to. If you are Otto's friend, sorry if I have offended you but this is business.
Nothing personal.

I as well, business is business and friends are friends,
As a business owner, I have some standards I hold and expect from other business owners. If he was just looking for help. Then he should have asked,
I am sorry that he is going through a tuff time but the lack of communication is alarming, (the lack of completing orders or providing information on the orders speaks volumes)
I recommended several people to his sales. I feel responsible for there loss. Or potential loss.
Let us all hope that this turns out for the better and every one gets what we ordered.
The ones I feel for the most is the new fighters out there that jumped on the sales and are now in limbo.

I have a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

A friend of mind got an email from OTTO today
He simply asked:
I have seen that you are having problems on fulfilling your orders. Well we be getting the armor or refunds in the near future?
Otto’s Reply:
Yes, you'll be getting the amour and that as near in the future as I can possibly manage.
Scott/ Otto --- On Tue, 12/8/09
Some communication is better then non at all. I guess.
