Can you explain what those words mean? And if you email me the pictures I'll put them up for you.

Translation in brackets[]:

I have a momonari [peach shape style - see link to Mykaru's page below for similar] kabuto [japanese helmet] 90% finished I am advertising *now* (I need the money while I`m on vacation).

Russetted [rusted effect] 14 ga. top with 1mm spring shikoro [the neck lames that hang from the crown of the helmet down the back and sides - think lobster tail but way cooler] and yodare kake [throat protector lames that hang from under the chin of the face plate] in red powdercoat. Russetted [again rusted effect] full somen [face plate] 16 ga.. Kon-ito (navy) sugake odoshi lacing [the lacing that holds the neck and throat lames all together]. Size 27" circumference. 9.25" long 7.5" wide.

In my opinion this would be a very nice helmet and if I didnt already have one of Mykaru's incredible hats I would snap this one up - the brown and red would be awesome for my kit. His hats are supremely worthwhile.

Look at Mykaru's page

there is pics of a momonari style on there

Just a mykaru review here. I have a Mykaru helmet in this style. You have likely seen it. It makes you invulnerable to harm, smart and handsome.

Only because *you* wear a somen.

As a former owner of Mykaru's stuff, you cannot go wrong with his kabuto (or any other of his armour).

It will look GREAT (as in very accurate historically), and be quite functional.

You cannot go wrong with his armour.

Really. He is one of the ones that you get ARMOUR, not something that looks like armour, but the real stuff. Plus he tends to be one hell of a perfectionist, so its even better than you would expect it to be.

Try these. For the {img} tags to work, it has to end in a .jpg or other photo ending.

Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

Bump, as it is still available. Just not the right fit or style for anyone yet.

Gah! It's gorgeous! And in my size! And (almost) in my colors!

Stupid grad school. Stupid stupid grad school.

I hope someone snatches this up before Mykaru realizes how much he's underselling himself. Just think about how much extra effort has to go into the russetting and the somen/mempo!

Yes, the price will go up after I return home. I wanted to free up some cash *now* for an antique Menpo I want here in Japan. Looks like it`s not going to happen, but one never knows.
