I'm interested to know if anybody has got anything from the July-August orders at all.

I have not gotten my June order yet. That's money I'll probably not see a return on. I'm just glad I didn't go nuts like I wanted to and buy a whole bunch of loaner gear for the Barony. Then we'd all be screwed.

I have a july order out and I was number 10 on his list. Still no word. I've just about given up, and now I can't get the armour I need because I spent the money during his sale.

Dragonslayer: what did you order and what do you need. ( May have some extra stuff not being used.) (PM me if you would like)

I got the Celtic Helm and Spaulders I ordered the end of July just after Thanksgiving.

The helm was a gift for a friend and Otto got it to me just in time for me to give it to my friend at the last event I saw him at in 2009.

Glad to hear someone got his stuff. Kind of lame though, that Otto was filling late July orders before My and Raulin Arbor's June orders. Looks like I won't be fighting heavy at Estrella now at this point.

Glad to hear someone got the gear they ordered but I am starting to loose hope with all you guys in front of me (ordered end of Aug 30). I'll say it again a full list would be nice. Cause speculating where I am when there is a partial list sucks big time.

Yeah, I agree Tobar.

I ordered a helm on 10 June 2009 and was quoted 30 days. I actually got it in the middle of August but I hounded him every other day once it was late (10 July).

Good luck on getting your stuff guys. I also had some problems about what I ordered and he offered to make good on it (remake both the elbows and helm I ordered from him) but I managed to sell it off to someone else who it fit (too big for me).

I did receive my 2 gorgets about a month ago. I ordered them at the beginning of July, I think.

I am not making excuses for him, but he did fulfill *some* orders.

If only Audax would send my new guy his stuff, I'd be happy.

bit of a delay?

Post by Maddoc »

I ordered and paid for a sword basket and shield basket back in august (after pennsic) and haven't seen a message yet on their completion. I'm just wondering what the hangup is.

The hangup is the july orders that still haven't heard anything or been received. An update would be nice.

Sorry for the delay but I don't have internet right now so I'm using Scott's computer here and there. I just this minute asked him about his armouring and all he would say is that he has a bunch of orders that he has to do. I asked him if he's getting them sent out okay and he said not really, it's been going slow because of the time of year and also the trailer park is taking up a lot of time.

I'm trying to find out but he's not telling me too much. :)

I emailed him again about my JUNE order with no response. I could have learned how to armor and weld and made the gorget, spaulders, and shield basket myself by now.

You mean the age when you can buy a piece of armor for a tenth of a week's wages and not half your family's estate? I'm sure if you were willing to pay period prices you'd get excellent service, but since you payed half price for something that was already relatively cheap, be prepared to wait.

The lack of service, updates, and failure to provide the goods ordered is rediculous. I am now at 8 months on a supposed 1 month turn around. I am done waiting and will begin looking at my options for getting my money back. Unfortunately I cannot afford to give to charity right now. I want to fight, and I could have had my armour by now if I'd had the money to purchase instead of waiting on someone who is not going to give us an update let alone follow through.

Here's the update that I've got....he has a gorget done and working on a helmet that goes with it. He's got some bits on the table that look like maybe shoulders (sorry I don't know if they are done, it's just the pieces).
Apparently the last time he mailed anything out was a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry, I wish I had more good news. I'm just trying to give you any news that I can get.

Karen

P.S. His email address is sbvast@yahoo.com

Drekar, I get that you are upset. Understandably so. But dude, spell check please.

As for others, give the guy a chance to check the posts before you type a response. He certainly can't make armour if he's checking the archive every 30 minutes. Give him a day or so. Hell, it takes me more than a couple hours just to run to the grocery store and back.

Thats just the problem. He doesn't check or post. The last "update" which really wasn't an update was over a month ago. I believe I am justified in being pissed off and wanting my money back after waiting 8 months with no progress or communication.

Gentlemen,

Could tempers be getting up a bit due to frustration? No one likes to wait for something they've paid for that's ovedue.

Let's not have the first non-period Archivers' duel over spell-checking! :)

Vladimir,

It's from personal experience in knowing I get too worked up over some stuff that's not nearly as major as I think it is :)

I hope y'all get your armor!
