Review: Agis Oldestones

Post by Glaukos the Athenian »

A while ago I asked Agis Oldestones to make me a helmet crest for my Corinthian. I had made a couple of crests that looked Ok, but were fragile and did not survive a battle each.

I discussed the matter with him, he quoted me a price and I sent him the box of the crests that I had made.

He returned to me the crest you see in the attached photo.

To add to the complication, I had screwed up the installation of the first crest, so Agis helped me fix that and get the crest centered and looking nice.

The crest is BIG, and it has a classic air of "West Kingdom Hoplite" which is nice, tough my allegiance is to Atlantia... :)

In the Freiman scale it is a full 5 x 5. The item is made very well, thr prices within what I could afford, the communication was fantastic, the time to deliver was very fast and I am a happy camper.
The crest makes a nice helmet look awesome.

Thanks Agis!!!

Out of curiosity, does Agis have a website.

Not for me, mind you. Solid 14th Century Mafia guy here. But just for those who might be interested in a greek style helmet crest and have no idea who Agis Oldstones might be.

He does not.

Below are his name and allegiances. As said above, look his name up here in the AA and PM him. He is very good about returning contact in a reasonable time.

Thank you Milan, but I am not a Spartan either! I have short hair, talk too much and rather have a good drinking party than a brawl, though I am good for a brawl too if one comes up....

I forgot to mention that, which was a big shocker. Agis refused to take any money from me until HE was happy that I was satisfied.
Looking at the crest I can tell why he was so sure, his work is great. But it also speaks to his desire to do things right.
