WTT: Costrels for AR parts

Post by Thorgrimr »

I need some parts for my AR build- and I KNOW some of you have parts sitting around in a box, all lonely and collecting dust!

I need:

Magazines
Rear iron sight (for a flat top)
Charging handle

I have in the works:

two 24 oz costrels ($45 each)
six 40 oz costrels ($55 each)

Any interest?

http://www.centerfiresystems.com/ar_par ... ories.aspx

This is a link to centerfire systems. They have a shipping sale going on right now as well. This link is to thier AR parts. Go to thier homepage and you will see the sale.

I hope it helps. When I was building my G3, and AR and others I used them for a few things and they seemed very nice and quick.

I know where to get stuff- I'm just seeing if anyone has some stuff they aren't using collecting dust- like I do :) That way we both win.

I apologize. I just thought I would send you a sight wear the stuff your looking for is pretty darn inexspensive. and from a decent dealer. In fact there are only a few companies out there worth a crap for a good AR build. If your doing even a halfway decent AR "build" then your going to spend alot of your hard earned work horse trading and might end up settling for things just to barter.
If this is for a AR to just have in your house and go to the range with then sobeit. But if this is for work then ya might wanna rethink your approach.
Again I apologize for budding in.

No prob- I figured that's what it was. I ain't offended or nothin'.
Getting the stuff isn't a problem- I just like to horsetrade a bit- it's fun!

This rifle isn't really for work (unless I have to shoot someone and it's all I have in reach- but that's what my Glock 23 is for). I don't use a firearm at my current job. It'll definitely go to the range alot, and maybe a carbine class or two.

I'm just looking to pick up some range mags, or a standard charging handle leftover from when someone upgraded to a better one, or an unused iron sight- If you'll notice, the BCG wasn't on my list! I'm going to spend some $ and get a top tier BCG, and eventually get a good optic.

But for now, I just want to get it built and to the range, ya know?

Sorry, I have other parts if you need them. Foreward assist with spring, m-16 bolt carrier, m-16 trigger group, extra gas tube for a 14.5" barrel.

If I can free up the cash before the sale ends I'll get this:
http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Bolt-Carrier-Group-MPI-Auto-M16-p/bcm%20bolt%20carrier%20group%20auto%20mp.htm

Otherwise I'll get a LMT carrier and bolt.

Im glad your not offended. I meant nothing by it. In fact I know guys who are doing builds and have a "standard" rifle they have fun with while they are building another. I wish I had that kind of dough. ;-(
Those three little letters you used in your post, "LMT" Ya really cant go wrong from what I have experienced with Lewis Machine and Tool. Are you going gas piston or not? They are nice but remember they are more parts and more opportunity for fail. If your building your own and maintaining it yourself the regular old stoner design works well. Same thing with the chrome molly barrel. Its nice but not really a must. I would rather have a nicer BCG than a chrome barrel anyday.
One little add on that I realy do like but ya have to train with a decent amount is the B.A.D. (Battery Asist Device). Several companies make them nowadays.
Here is a small clip by Magpul Dynamics about thier version of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Moas5mUD9yA

I do not recommend alot of Carbine classes but if you do your homework on Magpul Dynamics and the bios on the two gentlemen running it t really makes sense to take one of thier classes. Plus thier DVD series I and II on the tactical Carbine is worth getting not only for training but its really good "Armour Porn" to watch. ;-)

Anyways, Good talking to a fellow gun guy and have fun in the build. Its some good alone time.
