Custom Cup Hilt for SCA

Post by Sextus Maximus »

I was wondering who is making custom Cup hilts for SCA use? Since I do not see myself getting away from them for awhile, I thought it would be cool to get a unique cup hilt done. The Schiavonna Cup Hilt from Windrose is cool however I would like to have the circles all around the hilt instead of the other different designs within that hilt. Anyone here can make one??

I've made hundred's of hilts, and would be happy to discuss this further. Please email me at marco@marco-borromei.com to discuss details. You can see some of my past work at http://www.marco-borromei.com.

Specifics I would need are:
1. what kind of blade will you be mounting in this?
2. hand measurements [or a phot of your flat hand with a ruler next to it]
3. what other pictures of hilts do you like, what elements would you like included?

Thanks,
Marco

I would have to guess this is for a rattan cup hilt

You can make a mock up with pipecleaners and sent it off to any decent welder to produce in 3/16 rod.
