Yeah, but not the one with me in the pajama pants. You want to sell these things, not scare ppl w/ my creeper 'stache. (which will be gone soon... stupid squadron booster club w/ its Mustache March...)

I have shots of the individual weapons, too. Would you like those as well? Or I can take more...

Sir Stefhan's hilts are amazing. I bought several at Estrella 08 and coun't be much happier with the hilts or the service. I will try to post up some photos of the pair of matched long swords later.

Would love one of the katz (hilt, pommel) if you have any lying around, if not, happy to wait until you have time to make some.

Thanks!

We talked about what I wanted (GS with 2 lobes, larger belled pommel) over a couple days, and the weights of the components. Once he found out what he had, and we discussed the weights of the parts in stock, he gave me the price. I paid via Paypal, and he shipped it the next day. The Post Office had mine on the 10th, and the package arrived here today(12th). The guard is about 4oz heavier than I'd anticipated, but I had told him heavier was better than lighter, so I'm not complaining at all. It is a pretty good combination, and I think I'll be very happy cutting my friends in half!

Alcyoneus,
Glad you like them so far. Let me know how they work out fighting. Thanks for giving them a try!

For the katz sets. I only have the hilts on hand. No pommels right now. Give me a few weeks and I will see what I can get together. I have lots of other work in the shop right now and I will be going to the Westren States Blacksmithing confrence next week. Lucky the fire season is over here........
I will start a new topic with some other hilts I have.

Thanks

Meinhard,
I so drop the ball I don’t know where it bounced to. If I re-member I stalled on the late hilt for one hand sword. Let me look at your order and whatever I have on stock that you ordered I will pay the shipping on it for you. I will also cover the shipping for the custom hilt when I have time to take another shot at it.
So glad I don’t take money on these items until all is ready...........
I have been spending all my spare time building my Blacksmithing/ metal fab shop. I also host metal smithing classes through a state wide metal craftsman org. On top of my 40 hour a week job with fire seasons every summer..........So I have had a full plate for over a year and a half.

rustmon,
Let me know if you wanted the twisted style at $50 a hilt or the flat bar style at $40 I think and the size socket you need for the rattan.1.25" or 1.5" e mail me at my gmail address. I do have some on hand.

Russ,
Thanks! At some point I might do some in your style. I have done some late style near and Middle Eastern. But I am not doing any custom right now.....at some point.......lol

Stefhan's stuff is GOOD. I have a katzbalger set made by him and I want another.

Only pic I have just shows the hilt and not the pommel, which is EXCELLENT.
The only suggestion I have for his customers of this product is to add some
lead shot or something, perhaps shot in glue to keep it in place, I melted and poured
lead into the pommel.

I have sent one katz set to Thomas at:
Check out www.foxknife.com
It is a new style cross and pommel. He called the pommel a fish tail but it was made in a style to go with the cross.
I like the look of this set much better and hope to kick out a few more in the next month or two.
Thanks!

I haven't had a chance to mount the new stuff yet, but I've got a bastard sword with your original series hardware on it that gets no end of compliments.

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... 0_3255.jpg

At its core, it's a 1.25" shaved rattan stick from Baron Eirik. It's got nylon web belt running all the way down one striking edge, over the thrusting tip, and back down the other edge. I've been using it actively for over a year, and so far no problems. It's the fastest weapon I've ever made, and definitely one of the prettier.
