Review: Ebonwoulfe Armory and Ringmesh

Post by Syrfinn »

Just wanted to throw out a review on some of the latest stuff I have bought recently, pics below with the items also. :)

Ebonwoulfe Armory - Excellent to deal with his Grace. Kept us in the loop when things got a bit iffy with his contacts, but always let us know what was going on.

I had bought two basket hilts, one stainless and one aluminum. The stainless ones came in, but the aluminum ones were not. So got the stainless one to try out.

Will be honest, I havent fought with a heavy basket hilt in years, been fighting with the Baldar plastic hilts or aluminum hilts from Windrose. So when I bought the stainless one, I figured I would try it out, but most likely would end up using the aluminum one.

Well after the first fighter practice with it, I contacted His Grace, and just told him cancel the aluminum hilt order and send me an extra stainless. The freaking thing is awesome. :) I always hand the sword to someone tip first so they feel the weight of the sword, which is heavy, and then watch their face, when they put their hand in the hilt. It fits like a glove and moves perfectly. To be honest, it feels worlds apart from the swords I still have my plastic and aluminum hilts on, and feel acward when i tied to use them the other day due to the balance.

5 Stars all around.

Ringmesh - got one of their blackened welded stainless tunics. Love the thing. And well since Rome had 4 and 5mm shirts, I dont feel cheap wearing it. :) Was easy to work with. They had to send the shirt to get it blackened, which I did not know about, so took an extra few weeks to get, but even with that, was great to deal with.
