Though expensive...
exoskeleton glove
I don't know anything more about them, my wife sent me the link, and I thought I'd share.

A mid-shaft forearm fracture is easier to deal with surgically then a distal radius/ulnar combination fracture. It also takes more energy to break the forearm although the gauntlet will give more leverage. If the cable system were hydraulicly dampened like those spring struts that support a rear hatchback then they would provide plenty of slow range motion but resistance proportional to velocity of impact. It's an interesting solution... but if I'm going to ditch a donor cycle at 80MPH I want the rest of suit and not just the hands.

interesting for a motorcycle rider, and as my Ducati is my main form of transport regardless of season I looked at these and thought... COOL.
I have thrown one bike down the road and it was only years of horse riding that taught me not to throw my hand out. Having seen what happens to mates that do, these things look AWESOME.

Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience

Yeah, that'd probably work better. WHen it comes to fighting (any form), it's probably better to listen to MOST other people before me.
But I'm improving.
