Fighter practice in or near Louisville and Elizabethtown KY?

Guys,

One of my best friends is relocating to the Louisville area in Kentucky. I thought it would be a good idea to find out about fighting in the area.

He's probably my best friend. He is a frequent guest in my home. A few weeks ago, my wife and I decided to just make him a key to the house, but his move kind of puts a nix on that. We drink and listen to Irish punk together, and though he is a little bit rough around the edges, he is fully gentleman compatible.

I am going to miss him a lot.

He is not one of my newbies, but rather an experienced fighter in his own right, with decades under his belt. He is one of the many soldiers that keeps flitting from kingdom to kingdom to do the army's bidding, and thus hasn't actually gotten much play in any one kingdom.

Are there any archivers in the North Central Kentucky Area?

I live in Indiana but drive over there for practice.

Yes, Louisville practice on Tuesday nights year round at 7:30 pm (or whenever the parking lot arm decides to go up!) at the ROTC gym over on U of L campus. Also every other Sunday starting at 2:30 p.m. When it gets nice and stays light long enough, we will be outside.

There is also an E-Town practice. I've never been. I think Thursday evenings maybe. I do not know if they have an indoor site yet.

We (meaning the Barony of the Flame) hold Fighter Practice every Tuesday afternoon at 730 on the UofL campus in Louisville, approx 45 from Fort Knox. Also, we hold it every other Sunday, same location.

There are a number of SCAdians stations at FT Knox (like myself) or who live in the E-town/Radcliff/Vine Grove area. during the warmer months, they like to get together and hold thier own fighter practice on alternate days.

You're friend will have plenty to play with, as well as some great local events coming up.
