Trying to identify this piece of japanese armour

Post by Dafydd MacNab »

Hi guys,

I am building a Japanese harness and am trying to identify this piece of quilted padding that has the standing collar and is located under the shoulder straps of the do.

Image

I thought I saw it on Baron Effingham's site or in the Tanki Yoriaku but now I can't find it.

I am hoping to find information on what materials it was constructed of, as well as how it was attached to the body.

Thanks,

Dafydd

And as to how it is attached... see those purple threads running along the outside of the shoulder pieces? That's how. It's sewn on.
