With over 20 web domains, I am not a big fan of free web hosts. They tend to be kinda wonky.

I have a couple of web hosts that I really like, but they are around $60 a year.

My two favorites are 1&1 and YRHost.

I can provide more details via PM or email

I own a web design and marketing company and I agree, free web hosts are not worth the money. :-)

Although I have major issues with 1and1 and will not use them. For a basic site, GoDaddy is decent and their tech support is surprisingly helpful, which is good if you aren't tech saavy.

I use Webs.com for a couple of free sites. I never have any problems with basic websites on them.

Point your browser to:

for an example of what I've done with Webs.com's basic editor.

A lot depends on what your trying to do with the webpage.
If its just pictures and such flickr or photobucket/facebook work well.

I almost forgot another host.

Lunarpages.com.

I use GoDaddy.com for my domain registration, but had issues with them for hosting. They don't offer as many features for the money as other hosts.

We use GoDaddy for registration and Big Blue Host for my daughter's website.
