I've seen that look. Usually associated with thoughts along the lines of "this stick goes to eleven - do you really want that?"

Very, very cute :D

I was in walmart they have swords just the right size....
with bubbles.
the next step are the cheap foam swords about 4 bucks.
The next step up are the new nerf swords and axes about 15... I honestly expect to see a lot of these at pennsic.

Now if only someone could find the cardboard "how to train your dragon" longship and make it pennsic weather proof.

Only Mara is cuter, seriously. We need to find a sword small enough for her hands soon. She does think daddy's thrusting tips are pretty nummy...

I agree. Mara is cuter than Violen.

My current weaponry plan is that I've still got some good maple lying around, and I'll mkae at least a sword, spear and seax from that for her.

As soon as she's able to handle 'rules', we'll probably start her with the Leon Paul plastic foils. I don't much like the Kingdom's boffer rules, but if she wants, she can do that (and I can always work to get the rules changed, can't I?).

And I think she'll suffer Koha's daughter's dilemma, namely, that she'll have a bit of a time playing patty-cake with other children. Koha's daughter was really learning escrima open hand drills...

And for Kilkenny:
