Maciejowski Bible Mace - 13th Century *10 up for grabs!

Post by Errant Knight »

hello,

I've been working on getting this mace cast for a while and thought I would share the progress. The foundry has not followed my instructions properly as this has been done in cast iron and painted.

The finished item will be made out of Gunmetal, which is a blend of brass and bronze.

It will be available for sale when it is finished.

If the price is right, I'd probably take one too. Should match my new 13th century kit well. The model looks lovely. I hope the foundry work goes smoothly!

Shipping cost for this will be a lot cheaper if I can ship them to the 1 address in America. (possibly Halberds, if he agrees and everyone is happy to trust him).

If 9 people bought it would cost $22.50 AUD each.

This item weights 1.3kg and would cost $42 AUD each to send to America.

Price for the Mace is $120 AUD = $110 USD. I will give a 10% discount if we can find 9 people for an order. Which will come to $99 USD.

I purchased one of errant knights 14th century mace heads made out of alloy. Its top notch.

I'd give him 5 accross the board.

Yeah but that's Australian 5s...on Frieman's scale...so you have to convert from the Euro to US to Australian...that's what, like a 3.5 or something? :)

Thanks for your compliments Wulfgar. This one is fast becoming my favourite, it just feels so nasty.

Might have something to do with all those spikes and you would have trouble missing your opponent.

For an order of 9 that would be $1071.00.
I'm afraid I can not be the front man over on this side.
However I have 3 of your weapon head castings which are quite nice.

Thats no worries. I was just trying to find a way to reduce the shipping costs. I wasn't expecting you to pay for the 9, just your own. It may not be much difference by the time people pay for domestic postage as well.

I will look at reducing the price for those who are willing to pay a deposit in advance of them arriving.

More sales, will help to reduce the price, so please tell your friends.

So around $165 including shipping to the US?
And these are made of iron or brass/bronse?

hi Cian,

$165 is correct. They are made out of gunmetal, which is a combination of brass & bronze.

That sure looks like a nice mace head to me.
However... I ran out of money.

Best of luck on your sales.

I would love to travel and visit a few of your major tournaments over there. A friend's wife is an airline hostess and we are trying to see if she can take them as on board lugage and then post them over there to save a few dollars.

Our non-Australian friends might find it amusing to know that you need a weapons licence to lawfully possess a mace in Queensland, Australia.
