Historic Format Deeds of Arms at Pennsic

Post by Galleron »

Who is planning one, and when? The Company of St. Michael needs to schedule for Pennsic 2010, and I'd like to avoid conflicts with others that are trying to recreate more historic formats.

Anybody know the exact dimensions of a Viking Cloak? It would be fun to take one to the pickup field.

I was asking about this about a week ago. Last year talk about the Historic combat series didn't start til about June. Might ask Gilebert if he's gotten anything yet in the way of requests for the field..

Last year I stepped in to run the greatsword portion of the series (and Galleron helped) It was great fun and I learned a bunch about holding a tourney at Pennsic... but this will be my fist year bringing my daughter to war and I am committed to spending time with family. If someone else is willing to run portions they should make their resire known.

I am not the scheduler this year. There is a schedule request page up at pennsicwar.org.

I have no idea what is going on when.

Right now, I'm just thinking. It does seem like a very low effort way to add a little "historiocity" to things.
