Sold: Leather Bauzbands - Water Hardened

Post by Arthen ap Rhun »

I am selling a pair of Water Hardened Leather Bauzbands which I have made that turned out to be to big for me no matter how much I want them to fit. They are made from 14 - 15 Ounce Veg Tanned Leather. The edges are lined with Copper Rivets. Straps are Brown Vat Dyed . Buckles are from Tandy Leather. The Padding Pockets that are shown are made from quilted material has a 1/4 foam instert in them. The tooling is stylized Celtic Tree of Life on both the lower and upper segments.

Measurements without padding are:

I have opinions of my own- strong opinions- but I don't always agree with them.

YA, I am big leather worker myself....never used this type of armor, so I am interested to see how they work compared to a regualr leather articulated elbow.??

The workmanship (in pics) looks outstanding too. Looking forward to seeing them up close and putting them on the field.

Got them!!! And no one should ever buy any leather works from him....accept me....

OK, on the serious side. The workmanship is just unreal. I have been doing leather work since I started in the sca some 20 years ago, and the detail that is in these is just fantastic. The tooling is very clean, there is almost no excess tooling marks or over penetration of the leather.

I was very pleased with how quick I got them. We finalized the deal Saturday morning and I sent him $$ via paypal. He got them in the mail that day and I had them Monday. Very painless.

I think these are a steal at $275 with the amount of time it takes to do this type of leather work and tooling.

Bottom line is Arthen Rocks!!!

Two thumbs up and on a scale of 1-10 he rates an 11.

Thanks again Arthen!
