New Shield in proress
I am putting together a 12th C kit. I will be using a teardrop center-grip. I have to put the boss, handle and edging on it.

Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. Churchill, 1941

Looks great, Gilebert!
I'm doing a shield a little later than this one right now for Pennsic. I love transitional style kites and heaters, the late 12th century and early 13th are where it's at. Do you have any period references for the use of the fleurs, or the general layout of the design? Keep postin' the progress. Cheers!

Nope. Not a period layout or design. But what I wanted. It is the heraldry of my wife and I wanted to use it.
