One of my best memories and favorite pics. I've always thought it the highest honor to bestow the accolade and always hoped I would have the privilege to do so. Who knew that not only would I have that chance but I would bestow it upon a great friend and exceptional Knight.
GreenShield.

Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. Those who do study it are doomed to stand helplessly by and watch while everyone else repeats it.
My wife recently snapped this shot while I was working on a sword for Euric Germanicus.
I never stay in one place for three of my opponent's blows. I also never let my opponent throw three unanswered blows. Standing in front of your opponent lets him perfect his pell technique. Most fighters are very good against a pell. - Duke Gyrth

My new favourite! Where did you get the fist? I have had this great idea for a gift to the Priory but I need something exactly like that...
the last time i saw something like that was when i was working at an adult book store. it was a sex toy designed for the not so feint at heart. not saying that the one depicted is the same product, but it was what lept to mind when i saw the image.
I'm hoping he was joking and has a bad sense of humor.
I did a quick little mental inventory of my tools and my drawknife is safer than 90% of them. I have a greater chance of tripping over my own feet walking down the sidewalk than I have of hurting her with that draw knife.

It's actually realy hard to hit yourself in the chest with a drawknife. I'd venture it would still be hard with something (or someone) attached there.
I saw Roy Underhill give kids a drawknife to use in a class here at the museum. I asked him about it and he said that as long as they keep their hands on the handles they are one of the most safe edged tools because it is controlled by both hands as well as the strong muscle groups of the arms and back.

The picture is awsome. Your range is perfect. Too bad he blocked it.

Nope Tomas, he was bumping it after he kissed the tip and this year he is running away to a beer fest and sending his wife after me instead of getting the rematch.
