D he is surronded by VDK and that is my old shield the one I made out of two pieces. I just don't know if I was saving him or trying to kill him.

My wife recently snapped this shot while I was working on a sword for Euric Germanicus.

I never stay in one place for three of my opponent's blows. I also never let my opponent throw three unanswered blows. Standing in front of your opponent lets him perfect his pell technique. Most fighters are very good against a pell. - Duke Gyrth

I'm hoping he was joking and has a bad sense of humor.

I did a quick little mental inventory of my tools and my drawknife is safer than 90% of them. I have a greater chance of tripping over my own feet walking down the sidewalk than I have of hurting her with that draw knife.

It's actually realy hard to hit yourself in the chest with a drawknife. I'd venture it would still be hard with something (or someone) attached there.

I saw Roy Underhill give kids a drawknife to use in a class here at the museum. I asked him about it and he said that as long as they keep their hands on the handles they are one of the most safe edged tools because it is controlled by both hands as well as the strong muscle groups of the arms and back.
