Great picture!!! It is nice to see such a touching photo and to hear that you appreciate your inspiration so much.

Thank you for sharing this here on the boards.

One of my best memories and favorite pics. I've always thought it the highest honor to bestow the accolade and always hoped I would have the privilege to do so. Who knew that not only would I have that chance but I would bestow it upon a great friend and exceptional Knight.

And yet another picture I wish I had a higher res version of. :(

Found it!

This was on Friday of last war, I believe the Helm's Deep battle.

Here's the sequence I posted in the gallery staring here: http://www.bogpages.com/SCA-photographs/Pennsic-Wars/Pennsic38Friday/9888511_E5HEK#673623190_rLAiF

The "last stand" picture is actually #2 below (which is, incidentally, much better resolution and size than the one previously posted. In my gallery, you can view a much larger version. I still have the original pic too, with even higher resolution.)

And then I moved on to something else.

Forgive me for briefly hijacking the thread, but then again, it was an inspirational stand and I'm just glad I was able to record it. Hail to the (then) Prince of Trimaris!

Okay, back to work on current Pennsic pics...

I've always been fond of this picture.

I'm in the mail. Ultimately I lost this fight but at this moment I threw a snap and he threw offside for a double kill. I was just coming back from thumb surgery, and it was the first time I felt 'back'.

This thread is turning out nicely, I like where it's going.

My two favorite pictures of myself.

First is from a bar brawl melee before my hospitaller tunic was finished

Second is fighting my friend lord martin (which unfortunately highlights my extreme need for new pants and shoes to fight in) after my crusader kit was more finished

Ursus: Is that Duke Alden as West King in those photo's?

-Ivan.
Who fought King Alden in a Pas at his request... with Polaxe's and did well, lasting 5 whole minute's.

Heck if I know. I live in Atlantia.

However, someone else seems to think so. From an earlier post in this thread:

Hope that helps.
