How do they stand up in combat? It doesn't appear that the fingers ground out on the rattan. I tend to get hit in the hand alot and am hoping to use gauntlets with swords as well. Also, is it possible to get them without the plates in the cuff?

God those are insanely hot. If I am reading right this is a product you produce and not a one time auction? I REALLY want some, but its going to take me some time to save for them.

Those are very cool.
But I'm trying to think how the cuff would work with a vambrace...

Aidan, is there anyway you could post or send me a pic of them with your street hockey gloves strapped in them? I'd love to see that, especially the underside.

What about just doing a bell cuff from leather with no plates? I have bazubands that cover my wrist and the plates from the cuff of my current gauntlets get caught on them. Thanks.

Mine are fabulous. I've taken some good hits on them and while I wouldn't make a career out of it,they worked great. The splint cuff works surprisingly well. No issues with my light leather vambraces.

That is a fantastic color!

Question: Are they heat blued, or chemically blued? Also, if you don't mind sharing, what temperature did you use to achieve the color? (Provided they are indeed heat blued) If you view this as a trade secret I understand. No harm in asking though.

If I was in the market for gaunts I would be seriously considering these.

Hi,
I used quite strong chemicals and high temperature together. Process is difficult but I get nice and deep blue colour.

Thanks
