Finished this helm about a month ago for a customer. I did learn something but I forget. That probably sounds like a joke but I have a shocking memory.
Heres my tips:
1. Use a creasing tool to do the raising at the top of the frame to get a nice sharp line.
2. The frame did change shape as I fitted the plates. I thought the plates were close but I will be more aware of this next time and make them an even better fit. I managed to adjust it as each plate went on.
3. Dish the plates so they are all the same shape.
4. 4mm Nasal bar was heated on a forge.
5. Hand sand for an interesting look.
