Armor for sale

Post by Leikr »

The time has come to sell off my armor as I am not fighting and could use the cash. So here is all the stuff. Pictures are located here http://picasaweb.google.com/spiffyguy.com/ArmorForSale# . shipping will be additional from the 63304 area code. If you are intersted in a piece I can get a weight and measurement to figure shipping. I did my best to measure the stuff but all the measurements are approx. If you want some better pictures just let me know what you need. Thanks

Leather Lamellar - $75

39" around from seam to seam
Shoulder straps 16"

Good starter helmet - $100 I have had this helmet for over 15 years and never polished it, it was used when I got it. Not sure the gauge or type of metal but it is a tough helmet and has not rusted much in the years of neglect. It is quite big on me and I had to pad it up. Probably be better for a bigger head. Simple 14ga galvanized butted chainmail drape.
11 1/4" tall inside
20 1/4 around back rim from edge of face opening
7" wide face opening
5 1/2 " face opening height

Leg Harness - $120 This is about 15 years old as well, used when I got it.. Got the same time as the helmet. Not sure what gauge or type of metal. There is a little surface rust but once again I have never cleaned it up so it seems to be weathering well. Fits well with the weightlifting belt. Fits well on top of the padded cuisses
Size Large weight belt
from top to center of knee 14"
From center of knee to edge of bottom metal 8"
Butt Plate 7 3/4 from hinge to edge
Width across front 10 1/4"

Blackened Onion Top - $750 14 gauge mild made by Wild Armoury. Comes with Klap and bar grill visor. Flat round riveted mail drape. Few dents on the top, never learned to block. Red sewn-in padded liner. Made to fit my head, which is these dimensions, yes my head is that big.
a. around head above ears 56.2cm
b. middle of forehead to back of skull knob 33cm
c. bridge of nose to top of head 21.5 cm
d. bottom chin to bridge of nose 13cm

Padded cuisses - $25 Made with heavy weight linen and stuffed with cotton batting. 2 layers for the most part with more on hips and knees. One is hand sewn the other is machine.
Length - 26"

You should re-list that beautiful helm separately.

Also convert CM to inches for lazy/stupid people

Near as I can figure the brow size is 27 3/4. I measured it at the top of the face opening. Originally I had measured from the edge of the face opening. Not sure why but I did.
