Welcome to the Archive!

This looks to be an excellent start on a Churburg 18 style cuirass. The armour seems very promising, and I certainly look forward to seeing it as it progresses.

Um, Churburg 18 is completely different and from the other half of the century http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/86/Churburg_s18.jpg/330px-Churburg_s18.jpg

Max: that's a good start there.

Hi Max,

Greeting from another budding novice armourer from Holland called Max K ;)

Looking good. Here's some pictures from an extant 1470's italian breastplate which might help. Do you have someone to teach you or are you doing it by yourself?

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Cheers,

max

yep, part of my old mildsteel armour. This workshop is located in the open air museum Archeon, it is open for public during the summer. So the cuiras is also there for the visitors of the museum.

Study the hammer marks in the last pic.
Perhaps that will give us a clue.

Jolly well done Max.
Thanks for the progress pics.
