Linengarb.com - new shorter tunic - sample here!! new pics
I have had a number of requests for smaller and shorter tunics. Samples are on the way right now and should be on my door on monday or so. the very first one was sent to serena in trimaris and im hoping she dont care cause i nicked a couple pics off FB to post here. presale to follow when the samples are in hand cause i dont have hard pricing yet and they may need minor tweeks.
pricing will prolly be in the 35$ range but not set in stone yet. final pricing prolly just under 50$ - usual colour options but she wanted it in white and sent it to her white so thats what the pics are.
The tunic is bunched up under her belt so its showing a bit shorter than reality but you get the idea. you can also gage relative height by the folks around her. shes in the white tunic with the striped pants - and no the pants are not mine and i am working on stripped pants but havnt found the right source yet BUT 10,000 yards of stripped fabric is a lot but thats the last offer i had. one whole roll all for me is a bit much at this juncture!
Q's, comments, suggestions????

not sure i follow by what you mean on top part but if i can fling poo at the wall and see what sticks - heres a break down of what i think i know and wont be sure till they get here but UPS thinks monday still...
Large size will be about a 46" body tube, the gores on the side will allow the lower sections to flair out to get the proper billowy look. The gores under the arms are a bit bigger (deeper down the body?) not sure how to describe that properly yet. long sleeve which will actually be a bit longer than the old tunics (scotty suggestion) cause its really easy to cut some off and the sleeves rip off if ya try to stretch them too far not sure about the total length from shoulder the hem cause i dont remember and i sent the first sample to serena a couple months ago but they are about a foot shorter so they will hit most folks about mid thigh. neck line is a key hole. and looks kinda like this - but not all curled under
med size will be a scaled down version and i just told them to scale down the large size and we didnt talk specifics so it will be a surprise for me when i open the box! that one may need tweeks but should be ready to fly with a phone call so easy enough to modify.

holy crap mad props to UPS - the dude just dropped sample off - and looking at the tracking last night it looked like they would be hitting monday
ok thats the up side - down side is i am headed to a buddies wedding that im in so i dont have time to wash and check shrink and take measures till i get back
so as soon as i can i will have pics and will use the reg tunics as under tunics to give you an idea of length and stuff.
- Oswald - i will do a run of nothing to but natural but cant do it this go round. what i will do is a buy a remnant of natural and have all sizes and styles of stuff in nothing but natural but this go round i need to resuply the camp pants and do the shorter tunics so gotta go with the half bleach/white linen. BUT your not the only one wanting the natural natural vs the white dyed back to natural and as soon as i can swing it im gonna do a full line run in natural.

Would look better with some roman clavi on them...
I need to order some more pants from you to turn into chaps. I'll hit you up when you get back and see if you can make them with skinnier legs.
Have fun at the wedding

I'll order a few. Your work is always good, and they'll make nice overtunics on top of your longer ones. What size would you recommend for that? I generally wear an XL of the longer ones.
Thank god for you Adric. Your clothes are like 80% of my garb at this point and they get compliments everywhere.

Lol, ahem, err, I know not what you speak of.Adric13 wrote: long sleeve which will actually be a bit longer than the old tunics (scotty suggestion) cause its really easy to cut some off and the sleeves rip off if ya try to stretch them too far
You know you can count me in for one or two. It's the least I can do after the rigourous testing I put forth on the poor item.

these are kinda going to be dedicated to you in a way for all the field testing - how big around would be good - im trying to nail down a body size for a "medium"Lucian Ro wrote:Lol, ahem, err, I know not what you speak of.Adric13 wrote: long sleeve which will actually be a bit longer than the old tunics (scotty suggestion) cause its really easy to cut some off and the sleeves rip off if ya try to stretch them too far

these are lame pics but its down and dirty and the kid took em
length wise im 6"4" 250# and wearing the XL in both tunics which at the moment are cut about the same. the production run im going for different sizing cause for some reason that seems like a good idea. at any rate you get the idea of differences and where it hits tall guy vs where it might hit you.
questions comments concerns?
