Short tunic - linengarb.com Feb 2 UPDATE - they be deliverin

Post by Adric13 »

The shipping will start as soon as I can dye and ship. Ups tracking says out for delivery - so they hit my door some time today. Historically it's late afternoon so I should be able to get stuff turned around to y'all tomorrow in some cases. Thanks!

==============================================
==============================================

OK i got off the phone and have pricing so lets get this ball rolling.

regular price will be 49$ - these are shorter but wider and actually use about the same amount of fabric as the longer tunics - go figure...

PRE-SALE pricing - 36$ plus shipping.

sizing -

XL - body tube (chest) 60" - this is the seam to seam - if your bigger than about 58 its gonna be tight.
-sleeve length - 24" Unlike the pics the sleeve will taper a bit more at the wrist.
- body length - 40" from shoulder to hem line.

L - body tube - 48" seam to seam
- sleeve 24" and will taper too.
- length 38 "

M - body - 40"
- sleeve 24"
- length 36

Usual construction and linen - all french seams, all hand dyed, minimumally overt machine stitches....

AT the moment there is no plan for a XXL but there will likely be one if there is demand. AND i have no idea how my sizing compairs to modern sizing - I own 1x-3x t shirts and they all seem about the same :?

Colour options will run the usual gambit - black, white, reds, greens, yellows, blues, browns, purple and if by mistake a burgendy comes out i will likely burn it cause it has proven to be a witch in the past

Time frame - Right now they are talking late jan/early feb and if they are not here by the first of march my head may explode cause they are coming with me to GW.

I know the timing sux with christmas and all but having stuff ready for wars and when they fall is part of the fun.

OH shipping oops... - i should be able to get 4 in a flat rate box (maybe 5 if i seal-a-meal them) - those are 12$ I refuse to look up a ton of shipping zips so anything less than 4 is 8$ Shipping - if its more i will eat it and if its less im sorry

Its not an order unless there is money sent and i want to keep it neat (as neat as i can anyway) so paypal only and send it to darinbruck@bellsouth.net
AND as always if your not happy you dont pay - contact me if you want a refund or life takes a left turn and you need out early or what ever.
If your new here or this is the first time you have seen somehting like this and are wondering what kind person sends off money sight unseen to some dude on the internet search the archive for me or my company and my rep should speak for itself. :)

crap! forgot pics :?

Model is 6'4" and 250# - the purple tunic on under is the normal ones to show the difference in length.

Use this link to see what the original sample looks like on a normal SCA badass fighter chick!

/me inserts the usual snipe about adding a size small. Or, the way you size things, a size extra small . . .

I prefer the longer ones. But, I do like the new neck line.

Are you planning on doing a long line of tunics with that neck line?

Talaananthes, I'm not sure how small you are but I'm kind of a stick and the medium on these fits very well.

Adric, are the lengths on these similar to the length you hemmed mine to? I ask because they actually look shorter and I thought I went pretty short on mine {but I oh-so love 'em). Amazing new neck line!

Sorta - I have a longer fuller one off to be sampled that has a "similar" neck line but different. That sample will prolly be shipped back with the production run of this stuff. I'll shoot ya a pic when it gets here.

I have the sample large they sent me which is being tweeked for the production run but its close to the "M" size - if ya wanna step in the virtual fitting room - i'll ship it to ya to try on.

Scotty - not sure where we hemmed yours - i used the one you sent back as a guide for yours and rehemmed it so my kid could wear it BUT im pretty sure they are close.

So I think within the next two years I'm not going to own garb that you haven't made. Placing an order soonest. Love the new neckline, it'll look awesome with some trim.

I'm not sure that was demeaning enough of a statement, Aldric. Could you possibly throw in a shot at my manhood while you're at it?

Forgot to put the end time for this - it wrapps when I have to send off money. It workslike this - I order (which was done last week) - they make ( which is happening now???) - they want paid (pre-sale ends) and then they ship. Then I work like a dog dying packing and shipping.

Pre-sale or not I am going to need a couple of the short tunics. One in red and one in white.

Not sure what size I need but since we live so close maybe I can come by and try them on or meet you at the Dacula Fighter Practice.

ok got busy today and forgot to add an update - still looking to have the short ones in by the end of the month. also coming in with the short ones are samples for hoods, and surcoats. hoods will be a small tailed shoulder covering style and the surcoats will be pretty typical earlier style split front/back, no sleeves, solid colour. If the cloth gods really smile on me we might have those in in time for GW! im not holding my breath but it would be nice.

also looking to have some wool brats/cloaks and wool apron dresses for the ladies sampled along with a longer under tunic in linen again. prolly wont be able to roll those out in time for GW but should be good to go by lillies if all works right.

no idea what pricing looks like at this point either but it should be in our usual reasonable range.

Adric,

Thanks for the update.

I am going to Jour d'Amour on Jan. 28th. If the tunics arrive by Jan. 27th let me know and I will come by and pick-up the white one I ordered. It would be nice to have a nice new tunic to fight in.

The red one can wait until you have time to dye it.
